Emmaus Arts Commission Events

The Emmaus Arts Commission has just outlined our line-up for the 2008 season. The arts commission has developed several festivals, concerts and other events for this year. To kick-off the 2008 season we had a very successful Winter Snow Blast Festival, with ice sculptures, entertainment and finished it off with another successful concert.

These events are tentative events and could change during the year. Our events are:

• August 23, 2008 – Swing Dance at the Emmaus VFW. 7-8 pm will be for anyone interested in getting lessons. 8 – 11 pm will be the swing dance. The band is yet to be determined.
  
• October 4, 2008 – The 3rd Annual Emmaus Front Porch Walk. Enjoy the neighborhoods of Emmaus, see the beautiful front porches and browse original arts and crafts. For those of you looking for new art to hang in your house the EAC will be hosting a Recycled Art Auction.
  
• October 19, 2008 – The 4th Annual Student Horror Film Festival. Students from the Lehigh Valley and beyond compete in an 88-hour contest. Students have 88-hours to shoot, edit, and produce a less than 6 minute movie. If you strong willed, enjoy a challenge, love to shot video then this it he contest for you. • October 18, 2008 – Emmaus Halloween Parade. This year the Emmaus Arts Commission will be marching in the event with a float.
  
• October 31, 2008 – Emmaus Arts Commission 1st Annual Halloween Dance at the Emmaus VFW. The band is yet to be determined. This will be an event to remember with contests, raffles, costumes.
